National CMV Foundation 10-Year Anniversary

National CMV Foundation 10-Year Anniversary

Dear National CMV Foundation Community,

Ten years ago, we embarked on a shared journey, driven by a desire to conquer congenital cytomegalovirus (cCMV) and protect those most vulnerable to its outcomes. This June, as we celebrate a decade of the National CMV Foundation, we pause to reflect on the incredible progress we've made – progress made possible entirely by YOU, our remarkable community.

From the early days of independent organizations like Stop CMV, Utah CMV Council, and Maddie's Mission, a powerful force began to take shape. Your unwavering support, fueled by compassion and a steadfast resolve, created a relentless force for change. This collaborative, global network, this vibrant tapestry we've woven together, embodies the very essence of our success.

Together, we've accomplished so much. We've funded early career research and public health programming, empowered countless individuals with prevention knowledge and support, championed CMV awareness, advocated for state and federal policy changes, and brought this often-silent threat to the forefront of medical conversations. And we’re just getting started!

As we embark on the next decade, we do so with renewed energy and a deep sense of gratitude. You, our dedicated community, have been the backbone of our strength. Your tenacity, tireless efforts, and enduring spirit have fueled our mission every step of the way.

We are confident that with your continued support, the next decade will be one of even greater breakthroughs. We envision a future where the risk of congenital CMV is eliminated for the next generation; a future where countless families are spared the devastating impact of this virus.

Thank you for being a part of this extraordinary movement. We are deeply grateful for your partnership in this fight to #STOPCMV. Here's to the next decade of groundbreaking discoveries, surmounting support, and a future of healthy, thriving babies.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your encouragement, guidance, friendship, and love.
